We would argue good-naturedly about music. My good friends became my roommates; not all at the same time, but on a rotating basis interwoven with each of us living with respective girlfriends at different times, and then not.
Most nights, if we weren't out at a bar or a live show, were spent staying up late, spinning records, smoking, drinking French press coffee, tea, beer, etc. Usually coffee or tea. We'd play cards, talk about work, books and art or just test our wits with each other in philosophical arguments. Or talk about the most amazing and mysterious: Women.
Truly wonderful times and levels above some of our jock peers who would drink beer to excess and talk sports, sports, sports.....
Other than that I haven't had any such friends in about 18 years. So it's a bit sketchy.
I don't like farina. Hot oatmeal can be good.
Do you like hot cocoa?
