Maybe it is in the hope that you might feel better about yourself ? Better to have had one real partner than a bunch of shallow hook ups unless shallow hook ups is what you are after. All I was going to say about God is that IMO people wrongly use God as an answer for adversity but your Aunt was just being nice , or maybe she was trying to take you to the darkside of religion where you are made to believe that you life is s**t because you are being tested by an imaginary c**t who is trying to make you more like them.
