^ I have no idea what it's like to live in the Bible Belt either.
Each area has its own virtues and problems.
Here, we have homelessness, highest unemployment rate in the state, ice addiction (they call it an epidemic), suicide, poverty and the highest rate of disability in the north coast district.
We also have some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

first ask yourself if you are able to take the loss if you end up regretting the purchase - can you get your money back?

then consider whether the $300 is better spent on anything else that may prove to be more fulfilling, helpful, useful or what-have-you....
