So, the cat return and pizza celebration are postponed until tomorrow.

I love The Oils, as we call them.
I regret not seeing them in concert when I had the chance.

Do you also dance like Peter Garret?

We went to get Boo, but although she was so happy to see me she gave me kisses, she ran under our friend's bed and we couldn't get her out.

I got her blanket on my bed now. We'll bring her home tomorrow morning. Then Boo can explore all over and cuddle with me.

I can't believe that I've been on the Internet for over 20 years. I wonder what people will think when they read about the advent of the Internet 50 years from now.

Now that is dedication! I though I was bad for being able to manage 20 hours before the need for sleep catches up with me!
Mind you, the persistent internet errors just lately do make a session on WP feel like that sometimes, don't they?!

Seriously though, it is quite amazing, really. I've been on the internet for about the same length of time; less than half my life. But it's so embedded in parts of my life now that I sometimes find it hard to remember what it was like before I had it. For one thing, I can't imagine how learning about autism after my diagnosis would have been. I'd have probably missed out on a whole load of things that I've discovered about myself; the forums I go on are easily the biggest non-financial support that I have had since my diagnosis.

I would have loved to have been around for the advent of television.

I've been on the internet about seven years. That's when I got my first computer. It took me three months to get it

out of the box. When I did I expected to find a user manual in booklet form. Since I've taught myself to use it and in

the end how to download (having installed acrobat which nobody mentioned me needing) I am now proficient enough

to be able to download the user manual; I don't think I'll bother.

I remember my first attempts of using the internet about 20 years ago.

I had one of those company brick like laptops I used out in the field as an engineer - what a pain in the arse that was.

Then going home to a big old monitor and waiting for dial up - this is how I learned some patience and humility.

It is much more useful to me now than it was back then. Shopping for a start - who knew it would be possible to get someone else to do your shopping for you whilst you sat drinking tea?

^I do find it very useful and I'm glad I finally gave in (I had to get it for my writing) especially post diagnosis. I

haven't tried shopping for food on it yet but I use youtube vids to show me how to do things quite often.

Why does WP keep checking my browser?

It just stole a whole load of text from me - can't be bothered to write it again or remember what I wrote. :x
