Modular homes are “prefabricated” homes which are built quickly in factories, then transported to a plot of land by truck.

They usually cost less than homes built from a foundation. They are frequently found in working class areas like Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in PA, though not in the central city.

My family isn't from WIlkes-Barre but I've been past there because I remember the unusual name.

I've not heard of a sliding pond as a slide. I picture the pond in It's a Wonderful Life.

I'm not sure what the question is anymore.

Do you like light stories or dark stories or somewhere in the middle?

Depends on my mood. If I'm in a decent mood, some utopian sci-fi is pretty interesting. If my mood isn't great, I'll read some dark stuff, but I mostly avoid horror.

Did you eat a bug as a kid?

Unintentionally, yes. A handful of times.

Have you ever had tripe or haggis?

I've had haggis. It wasn't half bad.

Are there some foods that are difficult for you to eat, not because they necessarily taste bad, but because they're hard to chew or hard to swallow, or something like that?

Bonus question, just because: You're allowed to have any home you want, real, fictional, your own invention, anything. What will it be?

I won't eat peaches because of the texture (even without the skin), and I can't stand wet meat (stew, or meat cooked in liquid). I would live in a Grade 2 listed Georgian style stone home with skylights and a renovated barn annexe.

I like the taste of cooked clams and shellfish like in chowder, but biting down on an errant grain of sand and it's all over for me. Sand in food, the sensation is like jolts of electric shock through my jaw and head. Yuck.

Can the house be anywhere? How about a shaker style farmhouse like in the show Anne with an E with a wonderful barn on a farm close to the Atlantic?

Does your skin get dry in the winter?

I'll answer my own questions. :)

It's hard for me to eat most things; swallowing is hard.

I would have a cottage surrounded by nature, and in a place that had warm weather.

My skin often gets dry during winter.

Do you ever wish that someone would take care of you?

Re foods and textures...my word yes! Fish gives me the heeby jeebys in case I come across a bone. Little bits of grit - UGH!! ! Hate mashed potato because there may be an anomalous lump. I could go on. Dream home would be the same as the ending of Gone With The Wind with big sweeping staircase. Thats not going to happen in my lifetime.

Yes I always wanted someone to take care of me, but because that tends to end badly by getting the 'wrong sort of person' I decided it best to take care of myself. Then amazingly a person came along who cares for me very much, but I am able to not be a burden or a strain on them so it's a nice balance. I also take care of them in a way. My philosophy these days is that I take responsibility for my own decisions and actions.

Because of my experiences I'm very stubborn and I refuse to depend on anyone (financially or emotionally), but I'm learning to tear down my wall a little. It's healthy to love and be loved, and it doesn't need to mean either person is needy or vulnerable. One of these days I hope to have an entire window in my wall; then I'll be able to peek through and see the other side.
