I called my parents last night & I had a realization today that my parents have become more like me since I moved out like with some of their interests & habits. I wish they were more like me in those ways when I was living with them because we probably would have gotten along a tad better & bonded a tad more.

The whole point of being in disguise is to not look like you're in disguise

I'd better not swim in the ocean. I might get humped by a dolphin.

Wouldn't it be nice if a single sneeze cleared your whole sinuses of allergens and viruses and then you immediately felt better? My sneezes are so powerful, you'd think that it's my sinuses having a good clear-out of hay fever, but it's not at all. Apparently sneezing is just a symptom, not a cure, but it should be a cure, from the force it is when I sneeze.

Worried in case my home might explode due to a random gas explosion. Apparently it happened to a house somewhere in the UK. I didn't know that could happen these days.

There are always remote possibilities such as this that can happen.

But if you worried about every last possibility, you'd go mad.

Yes, whenever something happens in the news my immediate thought is "oh my God it's going to happen to me!" I think it's because I become so frightened about it and feel too deeply for the people it affected. I do sit and worry more about things that probably won't happen than things that are more likely to happen. For example, I worry more about plane crashes than I do car crashes.

I used to worry about plane crashes because I live right under the flight path of the airport

I see them coming in and going out all day

Apparently the worst time for a plane to explode is during take off

I guess this is just part and parcel of some anxiety presentations?

Logically though, you have gotten this far in life without being affected by a gas explosion - I'm sure you'll last another few decades without such an occurence?

Yeah but there's always a first time. Eep.

I thought that these days there were special things that stop chemical reactions from sparking up, a bit like how a trip switch works for electricity, but for gas. To prevent such freak accidents from happening.

Antivaxxers think vaccines are full of toxic chemicals, but there are everyday fruits, vegetables and spices that have toxic substances in them, but people can eat them anyway and not die because the amount of poison is too small. It's the dose that makes the poison.
