I'm wearing my studded Cockney cap and listening to my Kinks Kontroversy deluxe edition CDs waiting for Hogan's Heroes to come on. The grass is always greener on the other side. The grass in England must be pretty green.

I once had a blog on wordpress several years ago, but hardly anyone ever visited even people here from WrongPlanet so, I closed/deleted the account and never went back nor chose any other social media platform either.

Has anyone heard about this 'psychedelic drug as therapy' business?

https://www.cbc.ca/radio/day6/is-psychedelic-drug-therapy-on-track-to-become-as-ubiquitous-as-meditation-1.4831602

My mum says that the current generation should be called the 'shortcut generation' for not relying on life experience and practice. Instant gratification and all that.

What do you guys think?

I don't psychodelics such be treated like any other pharmaceutical as, they have severe side effects as, I'd rather have a 5 year clinical study/trail be carried out before such could be considered safe & effective.

well, I'd probably be dead now if not for cannabis so I wouldn't be so quick to judge.

I kind of thought my mum would be all on board with it. considering she has fibromyalgia and a bunch of other challenges.

What is wrong with a quick fix?
Would she rather a long, slow, agonising fix?

When I have a seizure should I rely on the life experience of that?
People have some funny notions.

It might be because she's had to live most of her life with chronic fatigue and everything else, so maybe she sees quick fixes as the 'easy way out'?
I'll have to ask her sometime.
