I want to write a story of a continuum of short stories about an old retired lady just pleasing herself every day but living a simple life, but stuff still needs to happen to base each subplot on, but nothing major or far-fetched. I'm trying to look for ideas on Google but it just comes up with far-fetched stories like a werewolf hiding in the woods or a witch brewing a potion or an alien landing or something. I don't want any of that fantasy stuff, just simple mundane sort of storylines that are typical of a retired person living in a bungalow in the countryside.

I think you have potential to be a good writer if you got a good idea for a story

Why do some abandoned houses with everything left inside look like the residents just stopped what they were doing midway and just walked out their home, never to return again? (In places where there weren't any nuclear disasters around that time or anything like that).
It's like a husband said to the wife, "darling, let's just leave and never return?" And the wife, halfway through doing ironing, said "what a good idea. Come on, kids!" And the kids were halfway through playing and just jumped up and said "okay", without taking their toys, and then from that moment onwards their house has been lifeless.

It'd weird.

Funny how some people can be a laugh at work but at the same time be the worst person to work with. There's a lady at my work who I get on so well with on our breaks, we have a laugh and everything, but when I'm working with her she literally drives me mad. As a person she's nice, but as a worker she's exasperating. Although I don't have the heart to tell her of course.

I needed to do laundry. As usual in Sundays.
But it's raining.

I wonder if I'll ever be able to fall asleep on my right side ever again

Why does "wuthering heights" remind me of a Rollercoaster Tycoon scenario?

What the hell? So I was playing the Sims 2, and the Sim mother went out to work, then a message came up saying she had brought home a friend from work. The friend? An 8-year-old kid. So either the Sims supports child labour or there's some more serious stuff going on.

I like my room's new setup.

Within 10x8 ft. With a more private office of sorts, and a more secluded storage/maintenance stuff. Separated/walled off by a tall cabinet.

I went for a walk after each meal through the halls of my apartment building. I saw Bible Preaching Lisa. She said hi to me. I looked away as I said hi to her.

Here's the first paragraph of an email I received the other day from the TV Licencing people:

"Watching TV on different devices, Mr *****? No TV Licence? No live TV or BBC iPlayer. No matter the device."

LOL, it's half a decade since I wrote to them stating that I wouldn't be renewing my licence, but they still badger me on a regular basis with stuff like this.

These people need to get proper jobs.
