A close friend of mine has died, so it's a sad time. I'm talking to old acquaintances, as we process our shock and grief.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; don't know how people manage to keep sliders on

The Hypothalamus and Optimal Stimulation Levels.

Contrast. Filter.
Something is Constantly on.
How to it turn off?

Internal, not external.
Level of Jhanas? Not too deep. Just sensory. No abstract inquiries or whatever.
Meds? Idk except hormones.
Anything else? Well, melatonin still won't work without BCPs.

My habitually tense body -- with strength cranked up higher than supposed to.
Quite a drainer. Finding out that I can walk just as fast with "less effort" by "tensing less" or force my body to not look at the clock and "walk slower" -- and do not sweat, either!

Sod it, I'm going to write a book about 1995. I have written about all the years of my life so far except for 1990, 1991, 1992, 2016, 2021, 2022 and 2023. I'll probably write some more in the future.

The ticket inspectors are out in force today, on the buses

That's 2/2 up to now

I wonder if I can make it a hat trick on my way back

I wonder if telling someone to "calm down" has ever done the trick

Dweebs like Charlie Kirk are the reason that the hippie movement happened. Such a movement was needed for America and the world.

It sometimes does with me. What doesn't work with me is telling to shhh, or to "stop moaning" or to "grow up", because those words are like fuel and my rage is like the fire. "Calm down" is probably more like adding wood. Giving me reassurance and empathy is like putting the stuff firefighters putting that stuff they spray on fires to put them out.

Why does the Sydney Opera house look like a load of plates drying on a draining-board?

You need some kind of special skill to watch the news these days

I'm looking at 5 different stories on one screen ATM and not to mention what ever it is that's scrolling across the bottom of the screen

And it's all breaking news apparently

Sometimes I get confused with what the main article is because of this feature

I feel sad that this society is getting greedier and greedier, just thinking about money and nothing else. I get we need money to survive as humans but I'm talking about companies who can't cope with putting their hand in their pocket even though they make billions and billions of pounds.

Too much money is never good for anyone. You want to know what is actually more precious than gold? Bees. And other animals and insects that maintain nature for us for free.

I hate being a human.
