Then I will give you an internet hug, and you can live with the satisfaction and knowledge that you will never meet me. :)
I am absolutely horrible at giving practical advice, but I do empathize with situations.
Here is a gentle rub on the shoulder for CockneyRebel.

I'm crap at giving advice too, which is why I back away from posting in threads asking for advice. Empathising and sharing similar experiences is so much easier.

Most people ignore advice unless it's of an extremely practical nature. Although there are a couple of people here to whom I would give advice, however they would probably not appreciate it.

I remember back in 2020 when the world was going through the height of the pandemic, I turned to the internet for support but kept getting frustrated at the advice I kept receiving. I knew the people giving me advice had good intentions, which was why I couldn't really object or argue, but at the same time I didn't want it. All I wanted was answers as to what to do when you're a key worker living with a vulnerable adult, but that seemed to be a grey area where there were no answers. People online just said to distance myself from my husband in the apartment at all times but I just knew that couldn't be done for months on end. It was a huge issue and all I wanted to do was barricade myself indoors until a vaccine was found, but I couldn't because I needed to go to work, as I wasn't entitled furlough. It was terrifying, and most of the advice I'd got were from people who lived in big houses and didn't really have jobs, or could work from home.

And then some b***h had a go at me for continuing to be anxious after being given so much advice. I admit I was being a bit cantankerous but I just couldn't cope with being in a pandemic.

Currently: Using the old PC
I hate the stuck shift key. Would like to replace it.
The freebie mousepad isn't reliable either.

Also the internet cable is loose. Thankfully, it's positioned more or less against the wall but still.
And the monitor's display colors is ughhhhh...! !!

I've been struggling with Hashimoto's and severe panic attacks at night. My Doctor is putting me on a different thyroid medication so I'm hoping it will work. It's been difficult. I haven't felt like myself for the past 3 weeks.

It's day nine of me having a cold. I'm now dealing with chest congestion. I have so much of it, I'm going to get that syrup for bronchitis.

This could maybe turn into pneumonia. I'd go find a clinic and tell them what's happening.

EDIT sorry if I'm a busybody, but I just PMed him asking him to go seek medical help. If you agree, then perhaps you might also want to PM him.

Kakologophobia

Fear of swear words

...Wow, turns out that's what I have (even though I'm fine with mild terms like "damn", "hell", and "crap"). :o

I went to 2 clinics. The doctor of one clinic is on vacation in his homeland. The other clinic was full and all the doctors were busy with patients. They were also open for only 10 more minutes. I'll go to the second clinic tomorrow.

I just got back from the walk-in clinic and picked up my prescription from the pharmacy. I was prescribed Amoxicillin which are the red and yellow pills with the black writing on them. I was also prescribed Prednisone and Salbutamol. Black, red and yellow pills. How fitting for someone who romanticizes The Fatherland. I'll be laughing about that all day.

Those are serious prescriptions. I am relieved you are taking care of the situation!
