In terms of weird dreams? I'll have to say that I had dremed of finding myself in my grandmother's old home though it seemingly appeared abandoned as, there was hardly any furniture nor was the lights on either.Actually to make this even more strange my grandmother was living there, in that my gram's old home had burned down due to fire over 20yrs ago as well, my grandmother passed away 2yrs ago.. I found that to be odd indeed..
time behaves differently in dreamscapes.
indeed it does... I've had dreams that literally lasted days inside, but when waking up I realize maybe half an hour had passed...

i dreamt that i was back in the year 1971, in an alternate reality where my family was in the middle class and comfortable. the family house was bright and comfortably furnished, and sunlight streamed in through white-lace-curtained windows. i was in my fancy bedroom atop a lace-covered bunk bed with at first one ladder then suddenly a 2nd ladder popped-up, so i was set to climb down the nearest ladder when all of a sudden the door burst open and a seedy biker chick and biker rampaged through the room, fighting each other and starting on me, when all of a sudden a killer bee the size of a .44 magnum round buzzed into the room and started stinging the bejeez out of the biker guy, who ran screaming "OWOWOWOWOW!" out of the room. i climbed down from the bunkbed and walked outside into the bright blue sky sunshiny day, and i saw myself from an observer's position right in front of "me"- i was wearing blue jeans and a jeans jacket and workman's shirt and workman's boots, and i had ice-blue eyes, sandy blond hair and a tanned taut masculine face and build, and when the bee swarmed around me i effortlessly snatched it in mid-flight and squished it 'tween thumb and forefinger with a nasty "crunch!" sound, then flicked it's smushed carcass off into the weeds and sauntered over to my blue-flame paint-jobbed hot-rod car, got in, fired it up and roared down the road. then i awoke. what a dream.
I have a theory as well that maybe we do connect with ourselves in alternate realities... or at least the brain makes a quite good simulation of one... in a few dreams i've noticed things that were changed or missing... one of the more drastical changes I noticed in one dream:
I was walking to school and started to notice some things amiss, like cars passing by being almost silent (they sounded as if running on electricity) and the small store close to where I lived at the time didn't have a small gas station out front. The path I normally took to school was gone. When I arrived at my school, there was a sign outside the main entrance where there was supposed to be a sculpture and the school had some additional buildings. As I entered, the walls were painted white instead of being bare, red bricks and some of the walls were covered in large flatpanel monitors with information on them. In the classroom, the chairs and tables were different and the blackboard was replaced with a large display.... i'd say that the tech would be about 20-30 years ahead of our current tech...
I also remember the device I had in my pocket in my dream... it looked much like my current cellphone (an htc desire), but suffice to say I had the dream during the "nokia 3310 era" where everyone had one just for playing snake
Since I have a good grasp on technology, it's mostly these things I notice in dreams, whether something is too old or too new to "fit in", but also some other flaws like the above path that was missing and the changed signage.
Another, more recent dream I had, was where I was standing outside the Sydney Opera House, but again there were "flaws" like the Harbor bridge was missing and the botanical gardens were moved to where the bridge was supposed to be... Apparently I had either continued to live in Australia or gone back there in that "universe"...
"so are dreams "uplinks" to our other versions?" is a question I ask myself a lot these days...
