I had a long and slightly unsettling dream the other night. Much of it's a blur by now, but I can recall one part when I was given a video game in which the main objective was to match an assortment of commercially successful doors with the appropriate doorknobs.

At another point, I went to see my GP over some immunisations that I'd missed. Don't remember much of the conversation I had with him, but there was one part when he told me that it was politically correct to refer to menstruation and the menopause as 'population control'. :P

VIDEO GAME
This can only mean a statement. GO! PLAY! NOOOOOOOW!

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
Something not everyone needs.

MENSTRUATION/MENOPAUSE AS POPULATION CONTROL
The...? I'm sorry, but this is too nonsequitur. Seriously though, that's a bit over the top.

Thank you for your time, Farqy.

I don't remember much of the dream, but it involved pirates, fantasy lands, tentacle monsters, and attempting to stab Hillary Clinton to death with a very blunt pair of scissors after leaping from atop a large tower.

Oh, and I just remembered how the dream began. I was riding in the bed of a truck with a massive metal coffin that eventually opened to reveal the reanimated George Washington (or maybe it was just Werbert playing a prank) brandishing an axe and staring menacingly at me with glowing red eyes. He blamed me for something and was about to murder me when the driver crashed the truck attempting some reckless stunt, smashing George into dozens of bloody pieces that were strewn for miles around. I was very angry with the driver for killing George Washington, and went with my father on a quest to gather his remains. That's where my memories of the dream stop until the end.

i dreamt i was in some strange place, an apartment of sorts, in the kitchen trying to make some leftover goop [the color of milk mixed with tomato juice] go farther by diluting it with water and oatmeal. i tried to pour it from one storage container to another, but for some reason the amount of the goop doubled as i was pouring it into the other container. it didn't even want to go into the container until i started stirring it with a large spoon. then i took what didn't fit into the container and put it into a pan to cook on the stove top, and i was in the process of heating a leftover pizza when for some reason all the burners on the stove started burning all on full blast, and the carton the leftover pizza was in caught on fire. i struggled with the dials on the cookstove, trying to turn the burners down and they were very stubborn. the heat eventually abated, and i opened the burnt pizza container only to find the pizza was totally evaporated, and for some reason there were some paperwork and music CDs in there also, one of the CDs was melted and useless- it was Alan Parson's Pyramid CD. in the dream i was really bummed out over opening the intact pyramid CD case and finding the CD inside was melted into a lump of goo. this made me so angry that i tried to hurl it into the trash but i kept missing the basket and having to pick up the mess off the floor to try again. 2 other CDs that i didn't seem to care that much about survived the heat intact. then i looked up from the floor to discover that i was suddenly naked. then i awoke.

I was playing Sonic Colors on DS, when a knock on my bedroom door. I put down my DS and opened the door.

I noticed no one was there, until I bumped into some strange spirit. It had the profile of a voluptuous, exotic woman. It carressed me, at which point my premise would collapse in on itself.

I fell through a strange wormhole, where I met such people as Voldi Way, Salvador Dali, Roger Craig Smith, and Steven Spielberg. When the wormhole was gone, I was all alone, in a euphoric MAD dimension. I opened the nearest door, and the entire world was flatlined - in a rather ruthless, eerie way, mind you.

End of dream

No, but I'm planning on getting it for both Wii and DS this Christmas.

I had this dream where Princess Gace of Monaco welcomed me to heaven and invited me to choose anything I wanted from her closet. Everything was arranged like a chic boutique and I went from room to room, then I got lost in the silk dress section..I was trying to find something cobalt blue, and all the furs scared me.I heard the Princess' voice but couldn't find her, like on a loudspeaker.I woke up just after going to the room where all her Hermes bags were...I NEVER have dreams so this was weird for me!Image

In my latest dream, Willie Nelson was shaving my legs.

I had a weird dream last night... I wasn't allowed home from a building that looked similar to that of the church I went to when I went to church, but it wasn't the church... it was more like a school. I had to walk with a group of people at night in order to get home and we had to be blended into the surroundings. I just remember that much. It was really weird.

I'm certain my last dream was weird, but my recollection of it was overshadowed by the fact that I should have been at work whilst it was taking place!

In terms of weird dreams? I'll have to say that I had dremed of finding myself in my grandmother's old home though it seemingly appeared abandoned as, there was hardly any furniture nor was the lights on either.Actually to make this even more strange my grandmother was living there, in that my gram's old home had burned down due to fire over 20yrs ago as well, my grandmother passed away 2yrs ago.. I found that to be odd indeed..

time behaves differently in dreamscapes.

indeed it does... I've had dreams that literally lasted days inside, but when waking up I realize maybe half an hour had passed...

i dreamt that i was back in the year 1971, in an alternate reality where my family was in the middle class and comfortable. the family house was bright and comfortably furnished, and sunlight streamed in through white-lace-curtained windows. i was in my fancy bedroom atop a lace-covered bunk bed with at first one ladder then suddenly a 2nd ladder popped-up, so i was set to climb down the nearest ladder when all of a sudden the door burst open and a seedy biker chick and biker rampaged through the room, fighting each other and starting on me, when all of a sudden a killer bee the size of a .44 magnum round buzzed into the room and started stinging the bejeez out of the biker guy, who ran screaming "OWOWOWOWOW!" out of the room. i climbed down from the bunkbed and walked outside into the bright blue sky sunshiny day, and i saw myself from an observer's position right in front of "me"- i was wearing blue jeans and a jeans jacket and workman's shirt and workman's boots, and i had ice-blue eyes, sandy blond hair and a tanned taut masculine face and build, and when the bee swarmed around me i effortlessly snatched it in mid-flight and squished it 'tween thumb and forefinger with a nasty "crunch!" sound, then flicked it's smushed carcass off into the weeds and sauntered over to my blue-flame paint-jobbed hot-rod car, got in, fired it up and roared down the road. then i awoke. what a dream.

I have a theory as well that maybe we do connect with ourselves in alternate realities... or at least the brain makes a quite good simulation of one... in a few dreams i've noticed things that were changed or missing... one of the more drastical changes I noticed in one dream:

I was walking to school and started to notice some things amiss, like cars passing by being almost silent (they sounded as if running on electricity) and the small store close to where I lived at the time didn't have a small gas station out front. The path I normally took to school was gone. When I arrived at my school, there was a sign outside the main entrance where there was supposed to be a sculpture and the school had some additional buildings. As I entered, the walls were painted white instead of being bare, red bricks and some of the walls were covered in large flatpanel monitors with information on them. In the classroom, the chairs and tables were different and the blackboard was replaced with a large display.... i'd say that the tech would be about 20-30 years ahead of our current tech...
I also remember the device I had in my pocket in my dream... it looked much like my current cellphone (an htc desire), but suffice to say I had the dream during the "nokia 3310 era" where everyone had one just for playing snake :P

Since I have a good grasp on technology, it's mostly these things I notice in dreams, whether something is too old or too new to "fit in", but also some other flaws like the above path that was missing and the changed signage.

Another, more recent dream I had, was where I was standing outside the Sydney Opera House, but again there were "flaws" like the Harbor bridge was missing and the botanical gardens were moved to where the bridge was supposed to be... Apparently I had either continued to live in Australia or gone back there in that "universe"...

"so are dreams "uplinks" to our other versions?" is a question I ask myself a lot these days... :chin:

I say dreams are just the demented babblings of our subconscious talking to itself as it sorts threw the minutia of information that the senses pick up all the time.

I barely remember anything about this dream last night except I was outside & freaked out because I suddenly saw an elephant in front of me. Ace Ventura Pet Detective was on TV yesterday so maybe that had something to do with it
