:) i just need to find a way to anchor her feet to a surface and make her stand on her own somehow. right now i just have her lean against a "wall", feet loose which really limits her movement and the settings she can be in. she shifts around a bit as i pose her for each shot as a result.

is there a way to stiffen her armatures?

how do you mean?

professional ball and socket armatures such as these do allow you to "tighten" the joints and allow less or more resistance in whatever areas you desire, but these can sell for up to $400 and while i do have that kind of money, i feel there are more important things i can use it for in the long run. plus, you have to remove the "flesh" and basically perform bone surgery whenever you want to make an adjustment.

Image

what i used for all three of my figures is a basic, wire armature similar to the one pictured that i crafted using both 22 gauge florists wire and a thicker aluminum alloy wire twisted around itself, 5x florists for the spine and chest, 1x aluminum for the arms, 2x aluminum for the legs and 1x florists for the neck.

i used one single wire for both arms, thus when i pose one arm the other tends to move along with it, so i have to hold it.

there are no real "joints" for the elbows and knees, so when articulated they tend to look curvy and not as sharp as human elbows/knees.

Image

with both i have to find a way to anchor her feet. one solution i found was to use a stiff wood block as a foot and use a bolt/wing nut to screw her to another wooden platform floor, but then i won't be able to have her feet in the shot, with metal bits sticking out.

wonder that the picture is using?

it is something i can definitely see myself enjoying.

i think i've made a personal stop motion revolution...i found out a way to take a video of any thing (preferably a person in movement, which may be me) and change the frame rate to a stable 17 per second which is what i use.

i may be able to use frame by frame to make posing much easier. great news since i was doing it "blind" before.

when Charles Koch said he was more comfortable with billary in the white house, that was a bald-faced lie.

If I can't even draw cartoon animals without being called a "furry", then I just don't want to live any more.
