Cornflakes or porridge?

Yes, I'm very glad. In a world where I've felt like an anomaly who no one else can seem to relate to, finding WP and people who "get me". Priceless.

By porridge, I wonder if that would mean "oatmeal" to me? If so, I would say porridge. I used to like cornflakes as a kid but now they're about as Genetically Modified as you can get and organic cornflakes are far too thick and don't have the same texture.

Porridge, I thought, is the British term for any hot cereal.

I only knew the term "porridge" from Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

I still like Kellogg's Corn Flakes.

What quality of nts do you hate most?

I do like ramen noodles and would eat them often, but I don't. They're so high in sodium and the MSG makes my ears feel plugged up . I like them, but they don't agree with me in that respect I would say.

NTs.....I'm cautious to generalize, but not "saying what you mean and not meaning what you say" is very hard for me to deal with at times.

You don't know / use the term porridge? I'm surprised by that.

NT qualities: I don't like when they are impatient or they want to plan activities far in advance. Also when they use doublespeak like Magna says.

It's more specific in the U.S to what type of grain is served warm:

Oatmeal
Farina aka Cream of Wheat
Grits (corn)

I remember when I lived in the US they didn't sell plug-in kettles. My auntie wanted one really badly.
Maybe it was just California but I think it was most states. Is that still a thing?

I have my ears pierced but I wasn't allowed until I was a teenager. My parents thought I should decide for myself.

I pierced my left ear when I was in middle school in the early 80s after a girl gave me a "starter earring" (had a point on the end of the post). I had longer hair at the time and hid the piercing from my parents. I was at the mall one day with my mom and my neighbor friend who didn't know I pierced my ear. While I was going into a dressing room to try on pants I heard him say: "What's that thing on your ear?"........my Mom freaked and demanded I remove it.

For the record, I don't wear an ankle bracelet. I like them on other people more than toe rings although I have no issue with toe rings.....
