Woke up a minute too late to send YS his good morning message, just after 7:00. When he is at work, the employees turn off their phones when they start to work. He'll see it during his first break.

as of now (8:42 am central (-6 UTC)), UTC will meet the new year at the top of the hour.

UTC +9 New Year
Happy New Year Park Eun-bin
(I chuckle at silly self, because it seems obsessive to do this, but that's the point. Still, there is an element of admiration and seriousness my greeting)
Happy New Year South Korea
Happy New Year Japan
Happy New Year Middle area of Australia (I'm 30 minutes late)

I'm just not feeling the New Year vibe. Those greetings are nice, though.

I was just going to say -

HAPPY NEW YEAR
HOBBITS OF NEW ZEALAND!
It's been my tomorrow there for three hours.

I usually don't feel the vibe until the day or time arrives.
I will do my best to stay up to wish you a very Happy New Year tonight.
I cannot make promises though. I sometimes fall asleep in my chair.

Happy new year UTC +8
We have at least TWO Wrong Planet Members that have just moved into the new year. I hope it welcomes your presence with kindness, good cheer, and a comfortable life.

I don't know if you are from Australia, Greenland, the Philippines, Malaysia, or the people of China.

Happy New Year UTC +6

Wishing a Happy New Year to Bangladesh, Omsk, Kyrgyzstan and all the Wrong Planet people that live there

I'm moving my greetings to the UTC location thread. I believe these posts will grow wearing with some. :)

Me either.

Even if I have a really good year looking back.
It's the timing in my case, perhaps. Usually, I'd stay back and enjoy my room while listening to the muffled fire works.

This year I just tried doing so with my mom, on a balcony, watching fireworks.
Stayed past count down. Chugged my chocolates there...

I can't say that I truly enjoyed it.
It's even bad when I'm somewhat wary that my mom may take photos and videos of me without my say so.
And her yapping. Even if it's not towards me, but enthusiastically to whoever she's video calling.

...
Never again.
Not because I don't love my mom.
It's just not my vibe.

Reading the instructions again to prepare for my upcoming surgery.

I wish you well. I'm not going to wish you luck, because I'm certain the doctor, anesthesiologist, O.R. nurses have done the procedure many times. Thumbs up and good luck. Oh. I said wasn't going to say that. Oh well, too lazy to remove it.

I have had my left knee replaced, and my gallbladder removed, and both went well. I hope your surgery goes just as well or better.

Thank you, PC Goblin.

It looks like someone here is going through a midlife crisis. I remember when I was going through my midlife crisis. I started wearing a German helmet and I wore it for 7 years until it was thrown out with my green bag. I wore the cloth helmet for an additional 2 years until the 14th of the September 2025. I haven't worn it since.

If the New Year is supposed to be happy, than why am I crying right now?
