The Twin Towers are beautiful. They are the symbol of America's supreme economic dominance over all others.
I don't acknowledge whatever it is that happened to them in 2001. The Twin Towers still stands within its block, the Austin J. Tobin Plaza's rotating fountain transforming into a geyser of gold nuggets as the sun paints the towers and the city with uncountable hues of yellow and orange and red.
At night, one can see light from the occasional ceiling-embedded fluorescent tube panels filtering through windows and the gaps between the buildings' exterior columns, making the Twin Towers a simulacrum of the clear, starry night sky above.
I heard the observation deck has actually made admission free for all persons, for the first time ever. It was to celebrate the New Year's day of 2001. Before, people had to pay a not small fee of 13.50$ to get up there. The free admission program has no end date, I believe.
Perhaps I will book a reservation if I ever arrive in New York and use my camera to gain a near 360 degree Panorama of the landscape. I will capture the towers' and the city's beauty at that instantaneous moment, forever.
