I'm really sick of hearing about Paula Deen. I'm looking for news, not People magazine.

What's on my mind right now? Just saw part of a documentary about the rapes over decades of migrant farm worker women, by their overseers; nothing was done about it, and the land owners did not help or care. :(

So between that and a lot of rude comments I have read about women just because of the way they look, that I continually see online, I've been wondering why some find it so compelling to do cruel things to people just based on gender.

Could have been worse!

I am not happy. and I am tired and can barely type this.

I guess I feel exhausted from too much worrying about other people. It is draining me. I basically have been this way since this woman left me two weeks ago. I miss her and can do nothing about that person. It is over. So I am grumpy and not happy I guess.

I'm worried about "the big day".

I'm still angry with that stupid person who negligently violated my right and thinks apologizing is good enough. Well, apology is NOT good enough.

My new boss is one of those stupid people who quickly jump to the conclusion that the level of confidence one exhibits equals to how competent he/she is, hence believing my colleague, whose stuffups often have to be fixed by me, is more competent than I.

It would be nice to be able say "hey Boss you are an idiot" but then again who likes looking for another job and having to skip that one as a reference. In a perfect world the boss would give you a promotion and thank you for setting him straight.

Confidence does not equal competence. You can fake confidence but you cannot fake competence. You just can't.

Thanks, punkguy378, for (unexpectedly) responding to my post. I thought I was just ranting with no one listening. My colleague really seems to think her work is good. If only she knew it's full of mistakes. My boss automatically assumes that any mistakes found were made by me rather than by her (my colleague) because she's so confident. I'm actually fixing her mistakes. It's very frustrating.

And I hope your situation will improve (in response to your earlier post here and posts in another thread).

A couple of things. First, waiting for my mom to leave so I can have some alone time. Second, finding another place to live.

Sick of big business screwing us over. Between Regions, Western Union, Hertz,, Verizon, the BWWB, and Alabama Power, there's nothing left of us. I give up. just chop up my corpse into several pieces and let 'em all suck the marrow from my bones if they want anything else from me. Screw this. I'm outta here at 3 this afternoon. gonna park my car in the middle of the hottest parking lot I can find and roll up all the windows and lock myself in.

I hope not, Mindsigh. (?) :(

It is predicted to get to 111º more or less for the next four afternoons. Then it will 'cool' off to 106º.

Zounds! Where do you live? It's only in the low 90s here.

I have calmed down a little bit now. I am daydreaming about running off into the woods and wearing a stylish (but kinda rough and scratchy) bandeau and loincloth knitted from vines and surviving on berries and leaves.

Glad you calmed a bit down. For now (I am getting courage up to move away) I live in the american southwest.
