sure, I miss my lower-middle-class wages that I was earning, am living in genteel poverty now, but I don't miss anything else about that snakepit. given a choice between poverty and being stuck in a bottle full of stinging scorpions which was the UN-civil service, I'd have to choose the latter.

I'm liking my new job.

This is a new thing for me.

I'm the only person there in my field of work, which means I can operate pretty much any way I want.
I work much better that way.

whatever your job is, I sorta [nicely] envy you your ability to find your good niche. :wtg: I've always had to put up with jobs I was not well suited for, I had no choice but to grit my teeth day after day. but that is long ago now. now my new job is to take up space, which I am improving at. :alien:

My last work placement was truly awful.
I was constantly verbally abused and was physically assaulted a number of times.
I was there 14 years.
I think that's a long enough sentence.
