Son was in hospital all last night because he had a seizure at his dad's and cut his head deeply. The brave kid didn't cry once, including in waiting room (long wait time), etc. The only time he cried was when the doctor ripped off the bandage from his forehead to examine the wound. I told them not to, that he needed Remove (anti adhesive) but XH and Dr weren't concerned. Anyway, apart from that he was, as usual, v brave.
The doctor actually did a really quick job with stitches, and a really good job. This has to be the fourth or fifth time this kid has been injured seriously bcuz of a seizure.
He has been wearing his safety helmet most of the day with me today, and I just HAVE to see about my parents getting him a Seizure Alert Dog. You have to pay for training, etc, and apparently even after the 6 months to a year of training, the dog needs to be monitored and checked regularly by the trainer, as well of course I have to look after it a lot, e.g. walks etc.
The whole thing costs the same as a hypocritical/parasitic/
pretending-to-care-but-purposely-exacerbating-things--and-giving-false-advice-instead-of-forming-a-parenting-plan-to-try-and-go-to-court lawyer's retainer fee (10,000).
And it's way more worth it.
