The public system is very stretched and time poor, so I shouldn't be so ungrateful.
I'd hate to be in other countries where I'd be racking up a huge debt.
It just gets really frustrating dealing with the system and their lack of knowledge of what's going on because you never seem to be able speak to the same person twice.
And honestly, some of them seem really, really stupid. 8O

I am lucky to have the same carer most of the time.

But I also have difficulties when they change the rota or she is off and I have to spend too much time explaining things to someone else.

My lovely lady only comes 3 times a week but what she provides I am grateful for too, especially in our economic climate.

I think the company has a high turnover of staff because they don't treat them with respect and fairly.

How I got her was I asked for a disability advocate -> they said they don't have one, only a social worker -> I told them I had a DA at the other hospital to help with communication etc. -> they looked at my records and saw I'm autistic -> they appointed a regular nurse to act as my DA -> hallelujah!

Community navigator sounds like GPS.
Maybe it's like the old community access where they help you with transport etc.?
