Hope you feel better in the morning, CockneyRebel! :(

Eh, it's a really simple assignment. I just missed school on Friday for swim trials and we just have to type up a short paper on STDs. It's a lot less work than what the teacher gave the other students on Friday. You should study for Calculus. Haha, I made that same mistake yesterday for my Algebra 2 class, had a test today, and my brain chose the wrong day to blank out.

Speaking of my Biology class... so about half of the people in my Biology class (including the teacher) has the same last name. Once, we got a substitute teacher for that class, and he had the same last name too! The substitute looked at the roll call sheet and said something along the lines of, "Man, I have a lot of relatives here!"

Yeah, I should really study for Calc. AP exam on Wednesday, woot.

That's strange! Are they all Asian too?

I have another Algebra 2 test on Thursday... or Tuesday. I forgot which. People keep saying different things.

Yeah, they're all Asian.

That's what I figured. I mean, which other ethnicity group has such homogeneity of surnames?

Hmm... Well there aren't as much clumped together as Asians, but I've noticed Mexicans kind of do. I guess it all depends on where you live though.

Most of the Koreans I've met have the surname "Kim", and a Vietnamese person is most likely to have "Nguyen" or "Tran" as a surname. I haven't met much Japanese people, and the Chinese people I know are usually part Vietnamese and have Vietnamese surnames, so I can't say much about that either.

Almost 10% of Chinese people have the surname "Wang". It is also one of the most common last names in the world.

Ahh, well that makes sense. I don't think I've met a Wang in real life, but I've heard of people with that surname before.

Random: People say that I've lost a lot of my childhood from not watching/reading Harry Potter.

There's still time to read/watch them, you know.

I'm not saying that you've lost a lot of your childhood, but I strongly recommend the series to you. :)
For a big part of my childhood, I couldn't read those novels even if I tried, because my English was so bad.

Yeah, I guess I was just more into the non-fictional, science books. I liked fictional books too, it's just that I'm a bit picky when it comes to fiction, and when I find one that I actually like, I will read it over and over and over again.

Oh, were you not born in the US? Becuase I think I can vaguely remember you saying that you were an international student?

Same! I'd spend most of my time reading up to age 12 or so, both fantasy fiction and nonfiction science books. Ugh, I miss the days of little homework back in elementary school... >.<

Which do you prefer then, fantasy fiction or science non-fiction? :)

I feel like I want to sneak back into my old elementary school's library. There's this one series of sciencific books about different plants, flowers, weather phenomena, and etc., that I really miss. I would get it from the public library, but I don't know the name of the series... :(

I'd say I like them equally. I remember reading this sci-fi series called Animorphs that I really liked.

Huh. I like both science and fictional books (even though it takes a lot for me to get interested in a fictional series), but I don't quite recall ever reading a science-fiction book. I watch science fictions movies, but never read the books for some reason.

Oops! I misread your last post. I meant I like science books and fantasy books about the same.
(Although I did spend more time reading science books.)

Here's a very creative sci-fi short story that I loved: http://www.multivax.com/last_question.html

You did? I think you answered the question just fine. :P

I'm sorry to say I had to skim over the story. From what I got, it does sound really interesting, but my mind is just not working with me today. :(

I had such an unproductive day today. I spent my day going around WP, dayreaming, and watching random videos about Asian stereotypes on Youtube.

EDIT: Finished thoroughly reading the short story you sent me. It IS quite creative! I wish there were more stories like that.
