WP's been getting a lot of crashes lately. :(

---

In Biology, the class was singing "Happy Birthday" to me, and I really don't like everyone's eyes on me like that, so I buried myself in my book while they were singing.

Class: ♪Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...♪
Me: "The old geometry of Euclid, in which all geometric figures are two or three dimensional, came tumbling down as a new Riemannian geometry emerged..."
Class: ♪Happy birthday dear--"
Classmate: HEY WAIT, SHE'S JUST SITTING THERE READING A BOOK!

I would draw you a gryphon or a phoenix for your birthday if I weren't so busy studying for those stupid AP exams!
Just tell me what you want me to draw, and I'll draw one for you as a late birthday present!

Also, this:

Awwh, thank you! A phoenix would be nice since that's what part of my Vietnamese name means, but if you're busy with your exams, don't stress yourself out even more. :P

Good luck on those AP exams by the way!

Part of your name means "phoenix"? That's so cool! 8O
I'll get to it as soon as I finish those AP exams. They're giving me headaches.
Thanks!

Yup it does! The original spelling of the name is actually a pretty common name in Vietnamese culture, but my parents took off a letter so it will sound more like the original Chinese word for phoenix.

I heard AP exams cost a lot... 8O

Of course, it would be worth checking the specific school's IB credit criteria.

I hear various reasons why IB and AP are different/similar. All I know for sure is that IB is similar to AP, except that only colleges in the US will look at your AP classes while IB is for any college around the world. People have said that IB is a trifle harder than AP, others say that it's the same exact thing and colleges in the US see them as the same thing anyway.

I can never trust asking people and teachers around school for IB-related questions. It becomes a completely different story after each person you ask.

Try taking a practical approach with the IB exams.
1. Know which schools you expect to enter.
2. View the schools and their policies about IB exams, including whether they accept it at all.
3. Plan accordingly.

Of course, you may want to search for AP credit policies as well, but generally, it is less necessary. On the subject of international schools, AP exams are taken around the world (and American Government/Politics still concerns American Government/Politics no matter where the exam is held). The credit policy will likely vary by school.
