Yep - there's something about being out in traffic under your own steam (well - control anyway, in a car) that's dead exciting. :bounce:

I like it, but it does seem very easy to crash

Much less so with practice as your timing improves.
If you think about it, it's just as easy to fall over while you're walking - but you don't because you're very used to all the synchronisation and how to move legs about to keep going forward.

Very true, but I still sometimes fall over when walking :P

I always think that drivind's a bit like dancing, you need good coordination and as long as you know where and when to put your hands and feet then you've cracked it. The main thing is be patients and don't be intimidated by other trafic. It's your road too.

Yes - sometimes I get stuck behind a really slow driver - quite unnecessarily slow - and the way their brake lights come on every time there's an approaching vehicle it's clear they're totally intimidated by it all.
That's a shame because it will never become fun like that.

I can't be doing with hesitant drivers. I think actually, I get all my frustration out when I'm out on my bike.

Do you know, I really feel as though I've had a year wasted. I feel really guilty about it too. I mean I know that I've learnt a lot but I've not excelled if you know what I mean.

It really is time to get back in the driving seat.
