I treat people in authority as equals. If they are jerks and call that "insubordination" then they don't deserve to be in authority.

Nope. I actually wanted to grow one, although so far, was just a goatee.

@iamnotaparakeet: Absolutely true. I have this boss that actually threatened me a penalty for "insubordination" when all I did was explain out what I did. When was a valid response ever tagged as "answering back"?

How do you get back at those who have aggravated you in any way?

plot a revenge & execute it

is there anything about you that you like and have no intention of changing although you know it's not something that's socially acceptable?

I can't really think of anything, no.
Most of the things that I like about myself would not even gain the attention of anyone else,
much less offend them to the point of social unacceptability. I'm pretty boring.

Have you ever been witness to a natural disaster?
If so, tell us about it.
If not, which type of natural disaster would you ever prefer to witness? (safely, from a distance)

Well, yes , sort of. It's quite a few years ago now, but I did witness first hand a flood when on holiday in the Western Cape. However it was nothing like as devastating as the floods you see in the South East Asia, fortunately.

From a safe distance of course, I would like witness a twister or tornado. They look really awesome on tv.

What's your current fav show on tele?

When we moved in July, we gave up cable. That being said, I am a fan of a few shows. The Rick Mercer Report, a Canadian comedy-news show is probably the one I miss most.

What are the things (physical objects) that get you through your day?

I don't find it boring. I've been living alone this year so I suppose I've gotten used to it.

I try and do something else whilst I'm eating though, so maybe I do actually find it boring and just haven't realised it...

Do you wear watches on your left or your right side? (If you don't wear watches, which side do you think you would wear a watch if you did?)

I wear a wrist watch on my left wrist.

Do you prefer analog or digital readouts? And for what types of quantities being measured?

I prefer digital readouts for just about everything, I think. They limit the scope for human error when reading measurements.

Well, interesting? I see a balcony, trees with autumn coloured leaves and a light blue sky (sun is shining here).

Do you like to eat things like shrimps, crab or lobster?

Though I've lived in Texas during my childhood and my teenage years, I kinda like the mild summers of Minnesota. Having real snow instead of just sleet and ice is neat too. Also, I've found that when walking a few miles in the cold, that my body stops telling me it's cold and just lets me carry on and continue walking as necessary.

If someone you know tells you that they've been fired from their job, or a job of theirs they held at one time, are you more likely to ask:

(a) What happen to you?

Or

(b) What did you do to cause yourself to get thrown away?

[not in those words specifically, but in general if you ask in sympathy or if you presume their guilt or along those lines.]

(a) for sure 8O
Even if I had reasons to think the person messed up, I'd never be so brutal, especially when they already are upset and stressed out of their mind... And you must give them a chance to tell their side of the story.

If you had to chose only one object in your house, what would that be?

My piano. But in case of a fire that would be tough though.... if so, I choose my wallet, I suppose.

How do you react if someone started crying in front of you?

it depends on the circumstances of course. Where I am, what Im up to myself and who the person is. If it is someone close to me I would of course give all support I can

But if Im not in hurry to an extremely important meeting and if it is a stranger who cry beeing placed most close to me on the tube or around the city - then I would probably approach the person and ask if I can help out. In fact it would be a extremely rare situatuion I would approach a stranger by own choise

Im not affraid of people crying and if they do it spontaniously and in public then it could be a very big trauma that brought it on. That happened to me after I had experienced a trauma but I wasnt alone when it did happen

Same question
