Of course, it's not right that it falls on some lowly employee rather than the buggers who came up with the system, but it felt good to have a bit of a laugh about it with my advocate afterwards.

I am glad you got there in the end and it sounds hopeful for your next tribunal.

Lets hope you have the same judge :)

^ Thankyou. All the best for your claim too; if you have any questions, or just want to vent about it, I'm happy to listen and help where I can.

Thank you. That is very kind of you.

I am sure I will be back here having a good moan from time to time during the next few months.

I was hoping the weather would be a bit warmer and dryer for his visit too.

Although, he usually finds some interesting places to go without complaint.

I would have liked to meet up with him for a cup of tea but couldn't do the drive at present.

Hopefully next time :)

Oh, well, I suppose I best go join the ducks and walk my dog again.

I’m in Bromley, London, now. Off to Iceland tonight!

Weymouth was nice. A sort of less dense Brighton.

I thought you meant the Iceland supermarket at first.

Dense is a bit harsh, shall we say 'not quite as switched on'.

Yes... I was thinking frozen fish fingers at first... rather than the land of fire and ice.

Dense? Isn't "edgy" the right word now? Anywhere they drink their mojitos out of jam jars is edgy... but what do I know?

Such is being an Aspie lol....take things too seriously :D

Reykjavík has narrow roads. Nothing opens early.

I’m going to try one of the spas later.

I hope you enjoyed a relaxing spa day.

What foods have you tried?

I suppose they have a national dish/es?

Alas, I didn't try any Icelandic specialties. One of them is a lamb stew. Probably similar food to Scottish food, actually.

The spa was okay----but not worth $99!

I did enjoy my drive in Iceland, though. Even a couple of miles out of Reykjavik, you can see vast snow-capped mountains. I was shocked at how near the capital the beautiful scenery was.

Anybody had kidney pie recently, or play darts in the pub?

One thing I do know: the items in Pound Stores are much better than the items in Dollar Stores here in the US.

Another thing: you guys have charity down pact. Your thrift stores have much better merchandise than our thrift stores.

Welcome back, Kraftie. Hope you enjoyed your trip. :D

I'm not sure I should be allowed to play darts in the pub, I can't throw straight for toffee, even before I start supping ale. Maybe if everyone dressed in medieval armour?
I do like steak and kidney puddings made with suet pastry, though ("babies' heads" in the local slang!)
