Here they are ready to eat,soaked in buttermilk and egg,rolled in cornmeal.No way these are yucky.
The other type mushroom won't be out till warmer weather.There used to be plenty in the cow fields,but not anymore.Maybe a rural myth,but we blame everything bad on the government here ,so supposedly the government put fungicide in the feed to kill the spores.

First snake of the year,an Eastern Rat Snake,otherwise known as a black snake or chicken snake.Old timers would chunk them into a corn crib and the rats would just bail out.They are in the constrictor family and are very docile.
