They knew how to survive. Shoes.

Do you like better the great 'indoors' or the great outdoors?

Not just survive there's all this stuff made for pure amusement and fun and beautiful and creative too. Qnd dunctional items so your gifts and your own curtains tablecloths mats etc are personalized and hold memories of the time u made them

It takes more imagination and skills and is something easier to share, exhange methods, and appreciate long term than stupid selfies and learning same thing just different products from videos reinforcing the isolation and vanity driven socialization culture

Both equally as long as I am alone for both. Outdoors there is a chance of passing cars so it has to be within the forests not outside them

I've only taken one selfie in my life, just to figure out how it's done. I think taking pictures of yourself is really odd, if not vain. I agree with you blooie about the needlework and wish that people had half the attention span / perseverance of previous generations.

I love the great outdoors but I'm agoraphobic so it's very comforting to stay in my great indoors.

Next to no light. I don't use lights at all during daylight even if it's a dark day. At night I use candlesticks, or strings of faerie lights. I'm very photosensitive. Right now there are no lights on at all in my house except one nightlight in the corridor.

Low light. I have large windows so I often dont turn on my overhead until evening and its not very strong. I have a loft bed, and I hated having the ceiling light right in my eyes so much that I literally have a blanket hanging across my bed to block the light when Im sitting up there

Uh I have no clue what either of those are but I guess windows??

Does going to (loud crowded) dining halls or public cafeterias alone make you anxious?
(my mom gets on me all the time for not going to the dining hall more often)

there is something about the din which is distant enough for it to be a useful distractant to my internal worries.

choose one-
never using a phone book again
or
always using a phone book?

I haven't used a phone book in 20 years. Never is fine.

Go without running water or go without heat?

I went a few weeks with no running water in the summer of 2010, because of a massive plumbing restoration.

It was absolute hell. I spent a lot of the time at my mother's but couldn't bring myself to stay there full-time.

Never again!

I'll freeze first!

Shovel snow or dig deep holes?
