I assume that would have been awkward if the teacher realized you'd taken it seriously?

I don't think she noticed. In fact, I don't think anyone did. 8O

Yea, that is what I meant, if the teacher had noticed
I am not even sure what was meant by that statement, so I assume it is that one should read over their paper to assure perfection(to the individuals ability anyway)?

Hmm... I guess that's what she meant. Or she might have meant for us to hold on to it?

Yup!

I wonder how she would have reacted if she saw me actually sitting on my papers though.

Yea, that would be the most embarrassing part I assume
The class would probably laugh and that would be no fun :/

Good thing no one noticed then! :)

I hate having the attention on me, especially in a classroom setting. In the 8th grade, I had to go up to do a presentation for Language Arts, and I spent a whole minute or two stuttering. The weirdest part is that I was familiar (though not necessarily close) with mostly everyone in that class.

Yea I had to do a debate once, I was on the team that said the internet is more bad than it is good(wasn't my choice)
I still managed to both win the debate and make people laugh but that doesn't mean it was particularly easy or that I was looking forward to it.
The feeling of relief once it is over is good though

Unless you did horrible or messed up, you'd still feel everyone's eyes on you afterwards.

If I remember right I felt like I was shaking, dunno if I was though
And so because of that, I spent a lot of time thinking about whether I did it and people noticed or if I'd loose points or they'd comment on it or...well yea it never ends :?

Yeah, the memories still haunt me. I really hate going in front of the class or having the attention on me in class.

I especially don't like it when the class sings "Happy Birthday" to you. It's a really awkward feeling. My Biology class sang that to me two weeks ago, and I just sat there, reading my book.

I didn't really think a lot of people in high-school would still sing that in class
I only spent like a year there before being professionally deemed unsuitable for a school environment so I guess I wouldn't know

I don't really let it haunt me, I just think of it as a success(or another "puzzle" solved, like everything else)
But hey, when you can get people to laugh about children burning down houses because they "saw it online", you know you are successful

I don't mind random strangers saying happy birthday online because then you don't have to meet them and talk.
Also you don't need to worry about opening the door and having this giant surprise thing yelled at you(heart attack waiting to happen?).

Oh yea, then there is the little thing they used to do when I was in high school
They'd like sneak up grab my shoulders and yell something stupid
Then(like they do to everyone for some reason), they'd simply take my bag and attempt to turn it inside out.
I just pushed the "guards" arm out of the way, took it back and walked off haha

I see... You're homeschooled then?

I don't mind having people say "happy birthday"; it's just them singing the song that makes things awkward and embarrassing for me.

Nah I do university online, working towards some kind of IT degree

I don't think I have had the song sung to me in a while now, guess it becomes less often when you get older(my parents expect me not to care, they expect right  )
