I wonder how one would know that a four-dimensional dog ate their paper when all you can see of said dog is a series of changing blobs and patterns.

Me neither. Math happens to be my worst subject in school, though that may be due to the fact that I'm in Algebra 2 while most freshmen are in Geometry or even Algebra 1.

I'm in Geometry.

At least I don't have to go to Algebra Connections.

I wonder why the margins on textbooks now are bigger than the margins on mathematical books from centuries before.

The slower version of Algebra 1. You'd have to be a complete idiot to get into that class.

Ah, I see.

I've heard somewhere that in California, the standards for math is different from other states. Is that true?

EDIT: Yup. I checked, the standards are different. The math standards for California are one math level above than most other states.

Some math is hard, it confuses my brain until it works no more.

Same here. I have no idea how I got a grade ahead (two grades in other states) in math. 8O

I was in the lowest math class of my year in high school.
It'd be easier if the lowest class wasn't full of all the loud people who disrespect the teacher with what ever bad word they think they learned from watching weird videos on youtube :/

Oh, I hate those types of people. They should make separate classes for people who are too lazy and refuse to learn and people who actually have trouble with the subject.

Yea, unfortunately they don't though.
I guess it is based on assumption, so they assume any kid with low grades is someone who doesn't care enough to learn, and the people with good grades do.
Maybe school just likes grouping the wrong people together.

I'm back. I was just straightening my hair because it was driving me nuts.

And I suppose the standards are different for each state, keeping in mind that states are allowed to make their own laws.

They probably do.

I have this one class where I'm stuck with people who don't want to learn. It's not because I have bad grades. It's because for your freshman year at my school, you have to take a freshman orientation class, and the one for the people with better grades is Health, and the one for people with lower grades is Study Skills/Geography. They ran out of room in Health, so they had to put some people in Study Skills/Geography. Though I did learn things in Geography, the people in the class are just... so... lazy.
