Great news.
I really wanted that job.
Now I'm having a panic attack about doing the job.
What if I really suck?

That would probably mean some kind of radically different market economy which I as a dissident amurrican dare not speculate upon for fear of giving some politician any ideas.

Feeling stupid preemptively tends to act as quite the useful hedge against actually acting stupid. It's 2016, the periphery is mostly stupid. I've been to the stupid side(s) of the internet, if those are a maelstrom one might call this place an archipelago.

Thanks, everyone.
I'm just having a bit of anxiety.
By a bit of anxiety, I mean a lot.
I'm gobsmacked that I got it to be honest.

I went in for a briefing yesterday.
I will be replacing someone who is on leave for 5 weeks.
This person is transitioning to retirement, so they're looking for someone to train to take over the position permanently.
I'm in with a chance of a permanent job if I can impress.

Just need to impress.

Gah!! I'm so nervous!!

Phantasmagoria. I have no idea what that means apart from it's Latin roots and having something to do with ghosts or spirits, but it's one of my favourite words.
