It happens here somewhat too. Someone has even said that Mother Nature has been PMSing all year.
There were certain times of the year where the weather would be unusually hot, then next week, it rains and you can hear thunder (which doesn't happen often here), then it gets warm and sunny, and back to hot again.

Actually, it barely rained at all this year. There was only that one thunderstorm and a couple really light showers, and that was it. 
There was that one extremely windy day though. It was strong enough that a friend had to struggle to walk against it.
How warm is it over there anyway?
