I seriously need to renew my Citalopram prescription. I haven't had any for a few days now and I'm starting to get the 'Brain jolts' that people tend to mention. Kinda feel a little bit drowsy and drunk at times. It doesn't hurt at all, and I'm not craving it in an addictive sense, just that my body is a little dependent on it now and isn't functioning quite as it should. I sometimes feel like I've been picked up and dropped. Almost like an electric shock without any pain. I don't know how to effectively explain it. Just a weird sensation. Sometimes my vision seems delayed too, like the image in my head is a fraction of a millisecond behind what I'm actually looking at.

You really, really should. That stuff should definitely not just be stopped; your doctor should taper your doses down gradually.
The other stuff you describe is typical too.

Aside from the crap effects, did it actually do anything useful?

I think more than anything the change in environment was best to tackle the anxiety, ie. changing my job, but after a couple of days of not taking it I did have my first anxiety attack at work, so I think I should still keep on it for a while, at least until I have fully settled down in my new job and know it inside out.

To be honest I think my GP has kinda forgotten to monitor me....

By the way, I meant my vision is a fraction of a millisecond behind, not millimeter....

Also....

Mushroomhead are immense. I hadn't listened to them in nearly a year, and I currently now am.

That would probably be for the best, if only to allow time for you to come off it properly. It did bugger all for me except dull everything (plus cause amazingly intense dreams) but people have posted here how it helped them so it's also worth continuing with it while you're settling down at Subway. Although it's away from what previously caused problems it's still different, and a little extra "wrapping" for you during adjustment can't really be wrong.
Even while tapering off the dose after a year of being on it I still got the electric shock brain jolt thing and that same feeling like I'd been picked up and dropped. I once skipped taking it during the course and the effects I got then were much worse than those I got as a result of reducing the dose at the end of the treatment.

Hmm, not good. Damn poor show, in fact...
He really should be paying close attention to this prescription because the side-effects can be worse than what it's being taken for. My GP was very good and I was practically cross-examined each time I saw him, and he also kept a close check on my blood pressure because that can be affected by it too.

My doctors (I seem to see a different one every time, and they don't know what's up so I have to explain again each time) just ask how I'm feeling and that's it really....

Thanks Tomasu. I don't feel bad as such, just odd. It's neutral though I suppose. But it can't be particularly healthy. It'll be sorted soon anyway.

Pick one you like/seems reasonable and stick with them. They all have access to your records so they should all know what's going on.

[Edit for typo: /sick/stick/ Pretty good, considering the context]
