That guy needs a big slap though, and someone to tell him how much of a tit he is.

By the way, if you want people to take what you say seriously - How about you stop acting like an idiot?

Dear Monkey and Rabbitears, I can top your 'mean Asian father' story!
Two days ago in America(Florida, naturally), a teen- aged mother (mother?) who'd been smoking Pot drove off with her baby on the car.
ON the car roof, safely strapped into the baby- carrier.
Another driver saw the kid, still in the carrier, in an intersection, took the kid to a hospital, apparently there are little to no injuries.
Got more 'stupid parent' stories?
True ones? Because I think that American Lousy Parents are worse than anywhere else!

That was Albirea's story by the way, not mine or MONKEY's.

But yeah, that is pretty disgusting. But sh***y parents are everywhere, I don't think any one country can claim to have the worst parents, as there will always be worse and worse that will keep cropping up from anywhere and everywhere in the world.

The thing for most Asian parents is, they love their child too much.
They can be very mean to their kids, but in the end it's all for the kids' own good.

Making a child feel 'not good enough' or 'a disappointment' or 'letting the family down' is loving the child? I've done a little reading on the subject, and one of my favorite authors has a series of books about a Chinese/American cop who refers to her mother as 'Skinny Dragon Mother'.

Some of the mothers' comments and behavior are just appalling to me!

You saw the movie 'Joy Luck Club'? When one adult daughter finally mustered the courage to tell her mother that she was afraid of her, the mother began to cry, and told her how proud that made her!?!

I do NOT get that!

Personally, I think that the 'Tiger Mother' author needs therapy. Badly.

Well, I've grown up with that kind of mother, and not to brag or anything, look how I turned out.
Sure, she yells at me all the time, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
