It takes a while to cook bacon, if you like it crispy but don't want to stand over it to prevent burning.

Things I want to quit doing: smoking, drinking more than two beers at a sitting, eating fast food, berating myself, failing to think about how people will react to brusqueness, getting bored, and worrying. I will have to find some way to fill up those hours every day, of course.

I'm just not sure where I stand. The uncertainty is quite frustrating.
