Update: I lit the fireplace - so it's on you guys to keep me awake.

Goodnight Karamazov!

Would you rather have toast or a bagel?

Hmmm... hard choice, probably toast.

What keeps you going, fat, protein or carbs?

Protein and fat. I'm close to a keto eater.

same question

I don't know. Maybe fat and protein, since I've recently rediscovered my love of peanut butter, which has both, but I just eat it off the spoon rather than putting it on something carb-ey like bread or crackers.

Same question.

Same here, carbs make me feel sluggish - no wonder you don't struggle with your weight.

What's your childhood comfort food?

That's my favourite way of eating nut butters too!

It's really hard to say since as a child comfort meant not going hungry - the first time I started earning some money I eat a whole pack of butter - so maybe butter and cream.

What never fails to make you angry?

IMO peanut butter is also delicious on a sliced green apple.

Anger = People who criticise / stereotype entire groups of people with intolerance (racism, Islamophobia, sexism, any form of bigotry). Also double standards and hypocrisy.

same question

I also love pairing nuts and nut butters with cheese and I love making my own, with no sugar added, maybe a touch of honey and vanilla instead. And cheese goes great with apple slices or grapes!

Stereotypes, blind generalisations and most of all rationalising hatred and lack of compassion.

Same q

YES! You must be reading my mind. The worst is when people justify intolerance via academia, saying they're well-read on the topic and can, therefore, insult others with intellectual impunity.

Don't get me started!

When a train stalls when I’m trying to get to work.

Do you enjoy driving when conditions are ideal?

I can't drive, too easily distracted, among other things - I may be legally allowed to get a driver's license, but I don't think I should drive. So I will pass this question on to someone who does drive.
