No. What do you tell yourself to make sense of the world's injustices?

Blooie as usual I don't know what to say about those grandparents. I would want to take my children to those hospitals and tell the PR department they are the grandchildren of the primary benefactors, but they have no financial support from their own family. See what special services you can get. If none, alert the media. Local media loves stories like that. It's despicable and I don't know how you cope with all you endure. Hugs and prayers as always.

I tell myself that our lives on earth are only a stepping stone, and they are brief. We will answer for our injustices soon enough.

I don’t understand the notion of existence having a meaning, so I’ve never felt the need for a meaning filled explanation.

That’s an awful situation you’ve described though, got a still sadness in my chest now.

What’s the most expensive compulsive collection habit you’ve had?

Oh that's not my case it's my son's babysitters case. It's a coincidence that her life is similar to mine except way more difficult n she works way harder.

Your inlaws are the same, though. They need to support your boys.

My most expensive collection is my Brontë books. I have over 100 including all the biographies and some early editions.

I had a warhammer miniatures phase... that got very, very costly.
Luckily I was very good at painting them, so I managed to sell them for a fair amount on eBay.

Do you find pine cones visually appealing?

Yes. Im writing about it bcuz i often get good ideas here. Like the one just now about alerting hospital and media about it.
It's worth exploring. I'm sure her lawyer can tell her whether it's risky given the court case or fine.

Makeup.

I like pine cones. Especially when juxtaposed with pine needles and a pine forest.

Do you like deciduous trees like maple trees?

Sorry... Behind...

Yes pinecones are gorgeous. It's interesting how around the world they look different.

Yes. I love them esp when sunlight is 'dappled' thru them around sunset. The patterns

Never really found maples appealing, but willows, birches, oaks, poplars, and those Japanese maples whose name begins with an ‘A’ are all good.

How about fruiting trees?

I get annoyed by the mulberry trees in the neighborhood when they fruit because I try to keep my shoes clean, but when the mulberries are fruiting it's impossible to walk under them without stepping on berries and/or berry-tinted bird droppings. I don't really have experience with any other kind of fruit tree.

Same question.

I like banana trees.

Would you prefer hiking in a tropical rain forest, or in a temperate forest with deciduous-type trees?

Oh, gosh, I love the rainforest! I went to Hawai'i on vacation with my family once, the rainforests there are probably my favorite of any of the places I've ever been. Just watch out for the centipedes - the guidebook I read says their bites can feel like anything from a bad bee sting to a gunshot wound! And the cockroaches can fly, I had to rescue my mom (who hates cockroaches) from a flying cockroach in our hotel room.

Um, back on topic, obviously my choice is a tropical rain forest.

Same question.

Me being a prefer-to-be-under-the-tree person, I really don't care just as long as the forests I'm hiking in are nice and have very decent views.

Rainforests sound like they would have more mud monsters than deciduous forests. The only rainforest I've visited was the temperate rainforest of British Columbia. The one with the huge tree you can drive through. Overall I'd prefer just a temperate forest with fewer creatures.
