our cats are trapped in a classical music environment (something that improves milk production in cows). i guess our cats will be somewhere between doing okay and thriving. good luck if you try to rescue them from us. you'll have to put up with squeak the diva with skin conditions and hero the thug who spent three years in a sewer, lost an eye to a raccoon, and has no teeth.

That's cousin Shane, he's a great laugh, unless he's sober, then he's a bit of a boar.

If I had to come up with a phrase to describe the diverse styles used in autobiographical/memoir like independent comics it would be 'highly stylized idiosyncratic newspaper comics'.

~'If it was easy [then], everyone would be doing it'--Stan Lee in a tutorial video about being a comic book artist.

Sort of. It starts off as a big thing that is there all the time, when you try to sleep, when you wake up, suffocating,

but over time it gets smaller and smaller until one day you have to go looking for it and prod at it with memories in

order to feel it. That's when you know you're going to be alright and that you are strong.

Hi, everyone.

Thursday, the surgery day, was a bit of an endurance gauntlet, to say the least. We went there earlier than expected, at 9:30 and after a bit of waiting, I got changed into hospital gown and hair net and plastic-y shoes. I was so embarrassed when I looked in the mirror, I didn't want to go out of the washroom. But the nurses there were so kind and gentle. Then I got to sit in the recovery room 'til 11:30 or so, and then it was off to the surgery room. Everything went fine until they put the anesthesia mask over my face. I can't stand having anything covering my face, and I panicked a bit. I had a hard time breathing deeply. But then--boom, I was wide awake at 2:00 or so.

After awhile, I thought it was all over, but I had to go back at suppertime because the spot was bleeding, and we had to wait two and a half hours in the waiting room, while I was crying and miserable and could feel it bleeding. My mum was furious.

Then we had to wait some more for the doctor to come, and when he did, I accidentally got a glimpse of the area on my leg when he took part of the bandage off. I was still crying and distressed, but he added an extra stitch and the bleeding stopped. All in all, it was around 8:30 by the time we got home again.

But I'm feeling loads better now. :D It'll be two weeks before I can take the bandage off, though. *sigh*

I have dispatched two specialists to assist with your recovery — they are flying in as we speak.
