Did you ever let a duckling swim in your bathtub?

warning, sad story to follow- at about 7 years old, i was at the lakeside when some newly hatched chick caught sight of me and imprinted, and followed me home, i didn't know how to care for it properly and overfed it and it got fat and its little legs could no longer support its weight, the only time it could use its legs was in the bathroom sink where it happily swam around. it died the next day. i put it in a little shoebox and buried it in the backyard.

That's sad blabby, but I'm sure it wasn't your fault.

I had access to ducklings which were being hatched at work, and I brought one home to swim in my tub.

Also when I was really little we had a bunch of duckling eggs hatching on our boat, with an incubator. It's one of my earliest memories.

Trigger Warning:

I did have two pet budgies. The first one "Budgie" was a boy but laid eggs. My mother cooked him in the oven by mistake. The second one "Oliver" died because of a stroke. Sad story it could only "breakdance" on the floor of the cage. My mother blamed me and said it was because I used hairspray in the same room with his cage.

Ha! You read my mind! Another memory from my boat: my dad's best friend brought a monkey onboard once!

It kind of creeped me out to be honest, but I was really young and timid.

No I wouldn't want one for a pet.
