I have a sanitising station at the door. A little table with sanitiser and tissues and disinfectant spray. I won't let anyone wear shoes or boots in the house. They have to spray their footwear and leave it outside. This was necessary because I had scores of workers coming and going in my house after the flood / insurance demolition. I'm postponing the indoor rebuild until this is over. In fact, I don't have any more workers coming at all until I'm ready again.

I have tons of food (online delivery), 48 rolls of TP, and I'm not going anywhere for the forseeable future except a GP appointment. Oh, and to pick up my car if they ever finish the new transmission. (It's easy not going anywhere when I currently don't have my car).

We moved back to the house since the schools are closing next week.

We're generally pretty well stocked up as we prefer cooking with fresh ingredients, so there's plenty of dry or canned goods for emergencies. I placed an online order for bulkier stuff.

I went to the Asian market today for some fresh veggies, spices and aromatics: limes, ginger, galangal, chillies, lemongrass and garlic are all great immuno-boosters.

Is this situation stressing you a lot?

Not really, I'm not in the hight risk group, neither is my immediate family.
I'm actually having a bad cold and who knows what virus is behind this, rather some old one but well - as a precaution, I don't leave my apartament but otherwise it's just a bad cold.

I'm cautious because I have a severely immunocompromised family member who is on three immunosuppressants, and another who is on two forms. Both are considered high risk. Also, my mother is 81 and not very well. She likes to visit so I'll have to be very careful about that. I'm not worried about myself getting sick, if it weren't for the others in my life. I have to think of them first.

No, not really, but I don't have close people at risk. I find some of the hysterical reactions a bit irritating though, I understand people are scared, but panic can be contagious and very dangerous and spreading conspiracy theories can lead to aggression towards the Asian community and other irrational reactions.

How versatile is your sense of humour? Do you have specific style, genre or cultural preferences or go for a broad spectrum?

As a software developer, he could work from home even normally if he wanted.
We tried it on Friday and it went not bad, though with 2 kids in a 2 bedroom apartament it's a bit of juggling.

I have a quirky sense of humor. Not even I know what I'll find funny or not. Things that are random tend to make me laugh, like if someone just randomly said the word "trombone." I think it's hilarious that I thought a line in the song "Come On Eileen" was "I smell like anise" (it's actually "I swear what he means," not sure how I heard what I thought I did). As for the humor I dish out, usually it's puns.

I hate slap-stick and humiliation-based humour but otherwise, go for all kind of stuff. Love absurd, dry or dark but also find (some) toilet humour or non-sequitur funny on occasion - I have a pretty active "inner idiot". Some outrageous stuff too as humour is always my last line of defence.

I also really enjoy exploring cultural differences: you can get fantastic humour from let's say British, French or Russian writers, but they differ greatly from each other.

I tend to go for sarcastic, cynical, dark, absurd and outrageous... although I have found myself laughing at books that I’ve been told have no jokes in them (Aristotle for example, I think he was a funny guy )

what was the last thing you crafted or repaired?

i digitally craft/repair old audio recordings using state of the art software/hardware. most recent project was a record of theatrical pipe organ with percussion accompaniment. also ripped a song performed by the late great Terrea Lea on the soundtrack to The Twilight Zone tv program, "the ballad of Jesse Belle" which is haunting.
