They did an awful lot of work to hide the fact that their supposedly secure browser is still based on Chrome, which I as a software engineer know to be the least secure browser there is, owing to the fact it's the most popular.
I know it's clunky but I put testing work into Firefox for good reason.

Chrome has exactly the same problem Internet Explorer did ten years ago. Using software simply because everyone else does is exactly why there's so much risk of malware for most people. I find the brave browser project incredibly smug in terms of how it's published. There's just no way to fully substantiate what they're saying.
tl;dr everything is hackable, use good stuff that's seriously proven.

I've been a Firefox user since it came out but use Opera when I need a free proxy
