That is story we are going with.

Nonsense, if China invaded we would have fiber internet nationwide within weeks.

That looks good.

Yes, if it doesn't need another power source other than the connection to the laptop then it looks ideal but that connection might just be because it's not wifi.

I don't want to spend £5.99 and find it needs knew batteries every week and they're £80 each.

It says "plugs into a standard USB port" which ordinarily means that's its power source -- it's just like plugging in a little thumb drive. So no extra batteries or cord needed except the USB cable that connects the keyboard to the laptop. (If the laptop is running on battery, plugging in an extra keyboard may drain it a bit faster, but it sounds like you may have the whole setup plugged into the wall.)

Excelent, that's what I was hoping. Thank you.

I mostly plug my laptop in to the wall when it's on the table and use the battery when I use it in other parts of the house. I will expect it not to last as long now, it's getting a bit old anyway.

There should be a jokes-and-funny-pictures thread in each forum section, like there is in PPR. This one is for the Work and Finding a Job forum:

It has been so cool and cloudy here this summer, there are already first signs of autumn.
