Oh, GOOD GODS are anchovies SALTY! It's like... pure salt with a vaguely "fish canning factory" aftertaste. Good holy sweet grief!! I don't even like salt. I just ate two entire pieces. That's gotta be the one of the most god-awful things I've ever eaten. Why in the HELLS are anchovies offered as a pizza topping? WHO likes that? The ONLY saving grace were the jalapenos; I love spicy, spicy stuff. Erght! Aght! 8O :skull: WHAT the HELL was I thinking?

OK... That's one more thing I can cross off of my list of things to try before I die... [Any sets of cute female twins (I'll settle for similar looking sisters at this point) up for a threesome?]

I confess, I'm the type of guy who needs to stick his hand in the fire before he believes he'll get burnt. But, I concur.

I have for the first time, hit something I cannot resolve in my mind. I cannot resolve the anger, the hurt, the sense of betrayal and the distrust involved enough to see any way to repair the situation or deal with it without getting angry all over again. :(

May I ask if this is a fresh betrayal, yet another one, or if this is a fresh difficulty in resolving so many past betrayals and disappointments? Sorry if that opening was rather clinical; to some extent I feel woefully inadequate to provide either meaningful or useful advice; we may have begun with many common interests and found some common experiences, but your life has been so much harder than mine from such an early age, and I am about six years younger than you, so all I can offer is to "listen" either here or in private messages if you wish. I do know that you have helped me immensely earlier this year, and if I cannot repay the favour I can at least try to honour our friendship, if that is not too presumptuous a word. For now I do not know what more to say, though I hope that you write soon, or even if you would rather not, I in any case hope that you feel at least a little better (this might not be saying very much) soon and hopefully much better at least in time.

I confess that I find myself trapped in learning certain lessons with regard to life over and over again to the point that the worth of my knowledge in other respects seems to be questionable, enjoyable though acquiring THAT knowledge may have been. I feel I should have matured more and overcome more issues in the course of a quarter of a century.

I confess my avatar will always be patches of hawaiian shirt... so I can change my "appearance" and everyone can still know it's me.

I have the same problem... avatar changes always throw me for a loop.

I confess, I just had another one of those "freaking my wife out with spiders/bugs" episodes. I'm sitting in the living room, chiling; the wife's having a shower. And, suddenly, I hear, "Oh my God, Oh my GOD! Ryan! Come quick!" I'm there in a flash, ready for whatever... And I'm like,"What? What's the trouble?" She points to the sink basin cabinet; at first I don't see anything, so I'm like, "What? What's the trouble?" She says, "LOOK at that spikder!" and points to right where it is. Then I see it. It's a HUGE hobo spider. Must be 3-inches across, leg-span considered. I recognize it; it's a semi-dangeous species, one you don't want to get bit by. I see it's rather ominous looking fangs (specialized front-legs). So... I decide to temp fate. I try to grab it, gently; it jumps off of the cabinet, onto the floor; so I scoop it up in my hands. Its fast; creeps from hand to hand, and up my arms. As it does this, I remark to my wife, "Look at it! Isn't it beautiful?" I thought it was. But she squeals for me to put it outside. I ask her to open the door for me; she protests, as she's fresh out of the shower, and just wearing a towel. But then I show her, again, the giant hobo spider crawling around on my hands and arms; I say, "You know these thigns are dangerous, right?" So, she grudingly goes and opens the front door. And I, carefully juggling the giant hobo, go and place it outside on the ground. As I come back inside, I say, very seriously, "Wasn't it beautiful?" She didn't answer; she was not amused. But I thought it was a beautiful spider.

Too bad it didn't bite me; such is my luck.

EDIT: Pictures of a similar spider from times past (them's centimeters):

I confess, I sometimes fantasize about transforming into a giant Stay-Puft marshmallow man, and destroying Seattle. 8O I'd love to try to use the Space Needle as a giant javelin, and see if I can huck it across the bay and get it to stick point-first in south-west Seattle. And I always look longingly at the Colmbia Center, as if it were a giant domino I could push over to get the entire collapse started. I'd also climb to the top of Queen Anne and jump into the lake - cannonball!

Is that a strange fantasy? Is it wrong? I'm not the only one who has this fantasy, am I?

I confess that I once went into an art gallery somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, as a child, and spied a dozen fabulous paintings: apocalyptic landscapes, involving familiar Seattle landmarks. For example, the Space Needle tilted over, covered in foliage, with animals and birds climbing all around it. I was delighted beyond belief and my parents were disturbed and horrified by what they deemed a highly sociopathic reaction on the part of their kindest daughter.

I confess, I just sat down and tried to watch the Manga release of "Ghost in the Shell". I must watch in a noisy environment, and my hearing isn't the best from too much loud music when I was younger, so I normally use closed captions to help me catch the subtleties of speech.

As I started to watch it, I noticed that what was being said in the English dub (yeah, yeah, I prefer English dubs, poo-poo me if you want, anime snobs :P ), and what was being said both in the captioning AND in the English subtitles (which will do in a pinch) were completely different.

Random example (I am not making this up):

Dub: "What's all that static in your head?" "I dunno; must be a lose wire."

CC: "What's with the noise in your head?" "I dunno; must be that time of the month."

WTF?

I confess, I couldn't watch it.

EDIT: Watching Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, instead; this one has a dub and CC that match (and make sense). EDIT EDIT: I forgot what a sad love story this movie was...

Good fortune,
