For the sundial you have to stand on the east side of the dial facing north, and then walk counterclockwise around it N times, where N equals your longitude W of Greenwich.

For the hourglass, well, duh – did you buy a Standard Time hourglass or a Daylight Saving Time hourglass? You can't reset it, you just have to use the right one or you'll be an hour off. That's why they're sold in pairs, you know.

The other hourglass was busted by the Wicked Witch of the West back in 1939.
Got the remaining one at an estate sale. Shoulda known better.

Darmok's being very proper. It's quicker to just sacrifice a goat over them; works for me for nearly everything.

I'm part Hawaiian but don't know a whole lot about Hawaiian culture...

But I think one thing I figured out: Hawaiian people are great at adapting to change for their own survival.

They adapted well to their islands being taken over by Europeans and later Americans.

When they were banned from fishing, they simply replaced fish with spam. :fish:

^ :o Forgot Mountain Goat, sorry, know you're a goat, but think of you as a train. Promise not to sacrifice you, and will be sure to ask any future sacrifices if they are related to you (unless you're not keen on your relatives).

Time to open the wine.
