We've been having a Buffalo Symposium in two other threads, so I'll just leave this here. You rarely hear the second and third verses, which are quite beautiful.

It's only 7 pm but it feels like it's midnight. Why is that?

haha you respond the way my mom does. (she does the thumbs up when i send these type of things).
\even the way you reply to other people about different things. maybe since you both have medical backgrounds except i guess you worked in the field much longer than she did.
she should be working as she completed another thing, 2 years ago, the ultrasound thing. she just never gets to live in one spot, she always has to be flying from country to country to look after different people, either her mom, my dad, or my brothers.

by the way i think my mom is cursed. the reason i say that is she told me when she was a little girl, she had to share a room with her grandmother (her dad's mom). but she was a cranky woman. anyway she cursed my mom one day, for taking too long in the washroom. she said 'i curse you to never live in happiness and peace' or something similar.

i think that explains the whole rest of her life. (my mom doesn't agree but if you think about it, her life is terrible). i don't know what anyone can do to lift that.

actually the one guy my mom was considering before my dad (she actually wanted him but she went for my dad in the end as her parents liked him... so she thought they would be better judges of character)..

- when my parents were in Yemen (i think only 3 of us were born then), they heard about that man.
He got arrested in Yemen for scamming and being a conman, and he went to jail for that. And his wife and kids have to deal with such a person for the rest of their lives. So maybe she's not that cursed.

But anyway I was thinking, what if that's true, and how does a person know, and if they are, then how do they stop being cursed? Also, how come some people's curses work but another person's won't? ETC

Oh wait that's why Aishwarya Rai got married to a tree or a hill (maybe both?), because the guru of Hindu temple said she was cursed. That was before her marriage to this guy. Actually one of those marriages (to tree or hill or dog, something strange), her husband's family made her do to alleviate the curse, before they would go through with the marriage.
Arab News used to publish such articles a lot, almost every week there was something in the back section about someone getting married to a dog or a tree or something random, in India.
Actually the one guy married a dog, because he believed himself to be cursed, since years ago, he had tortured and beaten a dog to death.
And one time they had these segments in world news, the india section, with the monkey man weird thing. Where there was a hysteria in Calcutta or Bombay or something, where people were convinced a monkey man with laser beams shooting out of his eyes, etc, was robbing stores and/or scaring people.
And every week the stories would get wilder.

One week Arab News published the actual indian police's actual 'prospective sketches' of the monkey man, compiled based on different people's accounts. I wonder if it's available online. This must be around 2006. My brother and I would be laughing so hard at each new update.
