ouch...i've dropped expensive mechanical pencils before, made for .05 mm leads, one single impact with a hard enough floor is enough to warp the tip to the point where it's unusable. i was able to "rescue" one once, but i must have gotten lucky cause that hasn't happened again.

Yup, it worked weakly for a day and just now failed. Probably was still half full, alas.
