I confess that I analyse too much and analysing too much makes me worry too much and then I get overstressed and more prone to impulsive actions and confusion.

I confess life throws at one the most alarming dilemmas and muddles.

I confess that we're watching "AI" in film lit this week, and I really, really wanted to leave the room during the Flesh Fair. (I was... really close to screaming; not in fear, but for other reasons.) I confess the idea of it, regardless of the victims, horrifies me; I confess that I can see this happening in the far future, and that's depressing.

I confess that the fact that I got so overemotional about robots in a movie is probably not a great sign.

I confess to Almighty Aspie that the first day back was awesome going to the Bull Run Watershed and that tommorow, my crew will be going to the Sandy River Outdoor School.

I confess to Almighty Aspie that the Bull Run group had to walk down 240 stairs just to get inside a Bull Run dam & another 300 just to get out.
My legs still feel as though they are about to come off!

I confess, I wish you'd post the large version. Once we've seen the larger version, it will stick in our memory, and we'll be able to reference it whenever we happen to see your avatar. So, in effect, our eyes will see the small version, but our aspie minds will dereference that to the larger version automatically; problem solved. :P

Good fortune,

I confess that in school today, the guidance people were showing us the "average" GPA of last year's seniors; one of this year's seniors asked why it was a 3.233 instead of a 2, because there was no way any of the classes averaged even a 3; I had to look down to keep from laughing, as I had been wondering the same thing. (They didn't give him a straight answer either.)

I confess, I sometimes wonder how others view me and who I come across as to others, as our own views seem to always differ so entirely.

On the Wrong Planet, are you naught but the sum of your posts? A reflection of what you write in the mind of each reader? If who we are is but a reflection in the minds of those who perceive us, then it becomes an impossible question to answer. But, like you, I confess I wonder how others perceive me. Even when they tell me so, directly. :?

I confess, I believe that who we are is someone that nobody can ever truly know.

Here on the WP, the medium for how we try to express who we are is words on a screen. In real life, the medium for how we try to express who we are is the limited facilities offered by these organic vessels in which our souls dwell for a brief time. Imagination is infinite; how can we express the infinite with the feeble tools we have, without serious information loss? How can we even truly express the love we feel in our hearts? We all try, some are better, slightly more successful, than others... But, nobody ever really succeeds. And the more complex we are, the more of a burden this can be. I believe that aspies have it particularly bad in this area; 'tis a burden we all must bare.

I confess, when I die, nobody will have ever really have known the true me. Not because I did not wish anyone to, did not try to share myself, did not love. But because who I "am" in this life, this organic vessel, these words that I write... It is all simply the slightest crack on this common plane we all dwell on, a crack that leads to the infinite expanse of my mind and soul; a whole other universe; an infinite number of other universes. And, try as I might, nobody ever gets more than a glimpse of what lays beyond. It's like trying to see the entirety the world by looking out of the keyhole on the front door of your house; it is like a blurry snapshot of nothing. It is an inherently painful and lonely state when thought of like this, which is, perhaps, why most bother not to do so, want not to do so. I think that there is something to the old saying, "Ignorance is bliss..."

"Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony." - Morpheus, The Matrix

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Keyhole
