Stuffed. I've eaten the worlds largest portion of shepherd's pie stew. Quite impressed I managed to wield the knife to cut the veg without chopping any fingers off after all that wine. I think I'll get at least four portions out of the leftovers to go in the freezer.

So we had seven hours yesterday and it started again two and a half hours ago. It's loud, it's in the garden, it's boom boom, boom but what makes it impossible is the beat is irregular and lasts for a max 30 seconds before stop different, stop crap music, stop different irregular beat stop, different crap music. I have a rain storm playing on my laptop off you tube to drown it out but I can still hear it and there's no way to mentally drown it out because of the constant changing.

Has anyone had to complain to their landlord before about another tenant? I've had complaints about my garden and it's horrible so I hate to do it, but I've just been online looking at alternative places to rent I'm that desperate. I can't write in this.

Does anyone have those sound muffler ear things? do they work for beats?

Edit, I had a look at the headphone options on the home page. Interesting but expensive but I rummaged around and found my old (20 years) headphones. Hardly used but the puffy parts are not in great nick. With the rain noise coming through them at half volume I can still hear next door but much better and I think I will be able mentally to drown them out after a bit. Would prefer not to have the rain at a lower volume though. Any recommendations for headphones that double as mufflers for under $100? or maybe good mufflers that are not too uncomfortable and I can play the rain out loud rather than through then.

I like Sennheiser or Sony over ears where that price range is concerned.

something similar but far worse...
a scenario like in Father Ted (Night of the Nearly Dead) with a horde of crazed elderly women standing like that outside the house at night, trying to break in.
