When I was in the sixth form at school, the French teacher told our set that the next lesson would be conducted entirely in French, and that we would all be required to contribute. That freaked me out - I was top of the class in French, but was dreadfully self-conscious about speaking it (accent, and all that). I spent the next day in a local park, and luckily was not required to supply an absence note. LOL.

Can you speak French?

No. I can read/understand a handful of phrases, but beyond that, no.

What media are you currently consuming (books, television shows, comics, etc)? Feel free to go into detail!

Not much as of recent to now because I'm too busy keeping up with my studies.

This is actually two questions in one:

If you're from the US, which US accent can you tolerate and which US accent you view as annoying?

If you're from the UK, which UK accent can you tolerate and which UK accent you view as annoying?

I'd go as far as to say I enjoy hearing the Welsh accent.

I find most English regional accents annoying but there's a special place in my whatever the opposite of a heart is for the Essex accent.

Same Q.

I came from neither. And I judge neither.
 All I know is that all said accents are indexed, studied and emulated somewhere in at least within this country's call center industry.

And I'm not a call center agent (nor a world traveller/traveling employee, nor a particular employee serving tourists, nor had been in either mentioned countries) to encounter that many English accents. :o

But asking my native's brand of English and which of my native's tongue's accent of English annoys me... I can't be so sure.

Same question?

I think all accents are pretty interesting. I may be biased, but I really love the Southern Appalachian dialect. The Wisconsin accent is probably the most grating to me, but it is charming in its own way. Strangely, I've always been told that I don't have an accent (or I have an accent that cannot be pinned down) . :o

What are your favorite textures (food and fabric wise)? Do you find these textures to be "stimmy"?

Foodwise I enjoy what I call 'mush'. Soft, pappy textures. The kind of thing you get when cereal has been sat in milk for quite a long time. I've never cared for hard, crunchy foods.

Textures I don't have much preference. I quite like leather and fake leather. I enjoy swimsuit material, whatever that is. So I suppose, smooth and shiny and a bit stretchy?

No, I wouldn't call it a stim.

Do you like driving?

I had four lessons and just could not get the hang of it. It didn't help that the instructor was a miserable old fart whose way of teaching was to yell at you each time you made a tiny mistake. Put me off for life.

I never obtained a driver's license, so no.

I love driving. I learned when I was young enough not to be afraid.

Do you know how to make any desserts?

I think the only thing I've made from scratch is cookies and banana bread.

Do you like banana bread?

A flywheel and clutch for my car. Is that big? Feels big to me.

Are there any traits in your family (physical or personality) that you didn't inherit and are you happy or sad about that?

I'm very different from my family. Somewhat estranged. I didn't inherit their conformity and normality, their ease at being in the world, their stodgy physical robustness, their simple approach to life. It's hard to relate to them or anybody for that matter. I'm ambivalent about it, it's a double edge sword.

Ohh, interesting question! Let me think on this:

1) I don't have a particularly low metabolism, and I'm glad that I don't have that issue on top of my other health issues. Many in my family have blood sugar and/or thyroid issues.

2) I was never attracted to abusive/manipulative men. Many of the women/femmes in my family have had multiple abusive long-term relationships (in which they stayed for many years), and it never made sense to me how they could maintain them.

3) I have multiple allergies and chemical sensitivities. Definitely not a good thing.

4) I don't have straight teeth. Most of my family has straight teeth, and I've always been singled out for being different. I really dislike this trait.

5) I don't have children of my own (and don't really want them)

6) I'm definitely the rainbow sheep of the family, and no one really gets me. I'm also the "nonconformist" of the family.

Same question.

I don't know. I actually have most inherited traits in both sides, good and bad.

The only part that seem to be what I did not inherited is the odds of being an NT and a lot of what it entails, out of everything.

Am I happy or sad about it? I don't know. It doesn't matter. So far I'm happier and sadder about what I got instead.
Happier because I have traits that counters a lot of autistic negatives.
Sadder because I inherited issues that caused me more trouble than autism or worsens specific negatives of autism.

Same question.

Most of my immediate family have asthma which isn't something that's ever troubled me. So I'm glad about that.

Do you/have you ever grown your own vegetables?
