We haven't had a reptile, but my brother had a frog/toad (an amphibian) when I was a toddler. I liked going into his room and looking at it. It ended up being a poisonous species so one day it went bye-bye and I never saw it again...

Same question.

I'm bad at animal categories but no I don't think I've had a reptile. We had hermit crabs? (I assume those are amphibians -- actually no ... what are they??), and we had fish. No snakes or lizards.

Do you like visiting zoos?

Hermit crabs are crustaceans. Lizards are reptiles. Frogs are amphibians.

I like zoos that have animals in their natural habitats—not in cages.

I also love visiting zoos, one of my favourite things is going to zoos and learning about different animals.

Do you like birds?

I do! I've had two budgies, named Budgie (lol) and Oliver.

Would you rather meet a zebra or a baby giraffe?

A giraffe. They’re less boisterous.

Would you ride a camel?

Right now I can't ride anything.

Years ago, maybe. I do enjoy riding horses.

Do you have a Will?

When there’s a Will, there’s a Way :P

Seriously, I do have a will.

Would you tell Beethoven to roll over, and also tell Tchaikovsky to move?

My daughter is related to Tchaikovsky.

I'd tell them both to bug off if they were in my way.

Would you rather meet Helen Keller or Anne Frank?

Both would be cool….but I’d slightly prefer Anne Frank.

How about: Pierre Trudeau, or Richard Nixon?

No one. Even if I heard the names and what they did, I don't know them. :P

What's the common cause of your (literal) headache and what do you do about it?

Dehydration, so I just drink water and that fixes it.

Have you ever experienced autistic burnout?

At least twice in my life.
Major accumulated and chronic stress induced ones, bad enough to quit whatever daylife I've been doing for several months. Both have long term effects.

And several episodes in between. Usually through overclocking or whatever mismanagement. Usually it never lasted a week long for me to shake it off.
Long term effects unknown.

Same question.

Yes. I flunked out of university and twice had to walk away from full time employment due to burn out. I didn't know at the time it was related to ASD.

Did you go to college/university? How was that experience for you?

I started college (university) when I was 36, in 1997. I got my degree in 9 years, though I actually finished in 8. I got enough credits to graduate with a double major, plus a minor in education.

It was overwhelming, in general, at first. Then, it was overwhelming only occasionally. I'm fortunate I did well. I was fortunate I had considerable "real world" knowledge as a background. I knew I had to follow the syllabi to a T. I had a few "all-nighters." I also worked full-time while going to college.

I was almost always anxious before any class. And especially during my speech pathology practicums, where I had to dispense therapy to people. I got a C in the practicum, but an A in the academic aspect of the final capstone course in speech pathology.
