The only rocks where I live are the one's left behind by the glaciers. We do have nice hills made of Loess though. There's also few sparse glacial river valleys where sandstone formations are revealed as well. I didn't even know they existed until college.
I had to refresh my memory on Loess via Google, and somehow my mind landed on this ---> At what height do hills become mountains?
There's actually no accepted scientific definition for a distinction between the two height wise.

It's strange we never had a single discussion on that in classes.
