Not much of a poetry fan, but this one from Shakespeare is pretty good...

Sonn. XXX
When to the sessions of sweet silent thought
I summon up remembrance of things past,
I sigh the lack of many a thing I sought,
And with old woes new wail my dear time's waste:
Then can I drown an eye, unused to flow,
For precious friends hid in death's dateless night,
And weep afresh love's long since cancell'd woe,
And moan the expense of many a vanish'd sight:
Then can I grieve at grievances foregone,
And heavily from woe to woe tell o'er
The sad account of fore-bemoaned moan,
Which I new pay as if not paid before.
But if the while I think on thee, dear friend,
All losses are restored and sorrows end.

One does find the most terrifying creatures in Japanese waters, no doubt from the fallout of the A-bombs.

I mentioned it before, I think here in 'got anything random to say', (~few might know, most probably don't) but this is the log cabin and the pond I helped building. The cabin isn't very big but it is cosy and a good asylum for me to escape to once in a while. The pond is 3 x 3 1/2 meters big and a little over a meter deep. It has a little waterfall and very soon the fish will be released into in. Big goldfish, other carp species (coy carp) and others. The cabin has a little kitchen on the left and a bed on the right. Water, fridge, heating, DVD/stereo, TV but unfortunately no bathroom. I shower, take a leak and, you know, other things unnecessary to keep within, in the house (with bathroom), which is 15 meters to the left in the photo.

The location is quite unique being near the center of Utrecht, (it's the 'painters quarter' in this city which is by far the most adorable quarter in Utrecht) but still, with this much open space and relative tranquility. Lots of students there and also with ridiculous prices of houses if buying one. A million euros for a house is quite normal around the area. Madness.

Anyway.... I like it there. The family who owns the place, I know for over 15 years and they fully accept (and understand) my awkwardness. Honest and good folk. They are folks I truly trust and they are my closest friends.

Here's another photo from a different angle.

Um.... next time we're going to lay some pavement in front a the cabin.

Thanks (or thanks?). That type of work I'm actually quite good at. And surely like a lot, esp. making things with wood. If you ever need help fixing your house or building something new, let me know. Maybe I can help. Could be 8) .

I just heard someone at my work say "winner winner, chicken dinner" awesome. 8)

Also.. I love my morning english muffin and lemon tea. Really helps fuel my mornings, especially now since I haven't been sleeping.
